National Recovery Month, held every September, celebrates the gains made by those in long-term recovery from addiction.
Now in its 32nd year, National Recovery Month raises awareness of new treatment and recovery practices and recognizes the dedication of service providers and community members who help make recovery possible.
Throughout September, a number of events are hosted in Berks County to celebrate National Recovery Month. These include:
9/8 – Pathways to Recovery Panel at RISE Center, 12-1:30 PM 9/11 – Storytime with Courage at RISE Center, 10 AM - 12 PM 9/14 – Pathways to Recovery Panel, Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing, 6:30-8:30 PM 9/18 – Berks County Recovery Walk, Reading Area Community College, 10-12:30 PM 9/22 – Mindfulness Wednesday, RISE Center, 10 AM 9/25 – Soberstock at Easy Does It, Leesport, 12-3 PM
